jQuery 1.4 release

Friday, January 15th, 2010

We at noBox are grateful for tools like jQuery. The jQuery library has truly reshaped the way we use JavaScript and CSS to design savvy Ajaxy web apps. To celebrate the new release, jQuery has put up a special site, 14 Days of jQuery. Check it out here.

Some of the highlights of this new release:

  • Huge performance gains
  • More convenient setter functions
  • Nested parameter serialization for Ajax calls
  • Greatly improved JSON support
  • Richer live event binding
  • Significant bug fixes

Needless to say, we’re excited about the forward progress and the chance to jump in and start using 1.4.
